Hello,
I stumbled across this forum while attempting to locate a plant identification database and then completely forgot about the database as I was quite taken with the various plant photos. This is an impressive collection. So, I signed up this evening and figured I should introduce myself before starting additional posts.

My family and I live in Costa Mesa CA and are casual gardeners and occasional farmers, e.g. we sporadically try and grow our own veggies, with some minor success. We keep a couple of housecats and a reef aquarium and maintain several hobbies on the side, including geocaching, rock hounding, fishing and hiking.

As I'm new here, I'm hoping someone can point me to the correct forum for posting photos of some alpine plants that I need some help identifying?

Thanks again.
Paul

Thank You!

I agree The Plant ID thread is a good place to get identification; one plant per thread and give as much information as you can and a few photos of each plant from different angles.

And if you have any general questions there is the Ask A Question Forum. Lots of folks visit that thread to offer helpful answers. Thumbs up

Love it! I'm beginning to combine my rock hounding hobby with the gardening hobby as a lot of what we haul back that looked great out in the field, after careful inspection at home, become garden decoration... Hilarious!
