We are living on what was at one time an 40 acre farm. The five acres that are connected to the apartment have little or any shaded areas. We would like to put in a grouping of hostas and we are wondering if this might be a suitable location? It is under some pine trees and surrounded by wild roses, tall phlox and Solomon seals. The ground is covered pine needles and I know that the soil would have to be amended. This area would receive 4 to 6 hours of indirect sun.
I am not an expert of hosts and don't know if this is a suitable area.
Any information that could provide would be greatly appreciated,
Chuck
