I was wondering if anyone has fruiting pear tree. I bought a flowering pear tree 12 years ago thinking that it ws fruiting. I don't want to pull it out but would like to try grafting it with other pear trees to get some fruit. So I an looking for a few cuttings if anyone has one.
Name: Carol Santa Ana, ca Sunset zone 22, USDA zone 10 A.
I could be wrong, but I don't think a pear will fruit that close to the ocean. When I lived in Buena Park, many tears ago, we had one that would get a few pears, but it gets just a bit more chill there.
Thanks for the reply. "Asian pears grow best in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 and 10." Maybe I can find that one! http://homeguides.sfgate.com/c...
