I know that L. Regale can produce it owns seeds very easily. I can see huge seed pods on the ones that I tried to cross pollinate on purpose to achieve a better Regale and nature did some crossing of Regale which will likely be all Regale........so I was told by the lily breeder.........
But I wander if Regale Album produces it own seeds the same as Regale does............some big pods on Album out there as well..........
I know that Regale has a very high success rate in the pod but not sure about Album..

any thoughts??

From what I know Album produce viable seeds that germinate fairly quickly. I am by no means an expert but this is what I've been told by a breeder. I have a nice plump pod from an Album I've been waiting for all summer. Someone else can probably give you a better answer.

L. regale produces mostly apomictic seed, doesn't it?

From what I have read L. Regale can be over 80% successful in the seeds it produces.........
not sure if that is right
someone on here might have been answers to this

But most of the seeds will have been produced via apomixis? ...They'll look basically identical to the pod parent.

Album seeds I believe grow true to the parents.

Well these are both species and the pods on these lilies are huge although there so that are on Album and some no seeds on Regale as well but not many pods are like that.....
the one Regale that I crossed with another Regale and then back the other way..........both produced HUGE pods............
I am going to give a few of the seeds away....

both of these lilies are one of my favourites and were one of the first to bloom here and then continued through most of the summer at different times in the beds for Regale.
album was done much sooner

the simplicity of the flowers is what I like in both of these......
many people commented on how pretty Regale is.............
