Today's Hen and Chicks of the Day is Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Shampoo') .

This is one of my favorite arachnoideum type semps. It is a heavy producer of offsets, for wonderful tight colonies, and is not bothered by either heat/drought, or or long wet winters as long as the soil is fast draining. A bonus of lovely pink blooms.

Please join in, if you own this plant! We would love to know more!

Also, please consider adding a "Local Report" to the ATP Plant Database! Thank you!

Out of all the arachnoideum in my beds this one is a real standout color wise, with it snowy white webbing.

Looking forward to your updated 'Shampoo' photos Julia.
