if we are going away for three days is it right to put a container with seeds that have been sown 10 days ago in a shady spot(although they were on a west patio-afternoon sun) for the time we will be away because i dont rely on :1.the cat sitter that she would water them correctly
2.too much of exposure to sun while i wont be in controll of the situation.
i thought that putting them in total shade will prevent draught but the question is :do these changes of location and micro climate do any harm to the seedlings.
if i get a answer to my previous question i can split them according to climatic preferences since i sowed 4 seeds of each type in 4 little yogourt containers.with there names on them.

If the seeds have not yet germinated I would put some plastic cling-film to retain moisture and prevent drought/drying out of the soil.
I think they do not need the full sunlight yet so it might be best to move them away from the heat and light of the window just until you return.
I agree that cat-sitters are not always good plant-sitters. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing As I type this I am dog-sitting for 4 days. Thumbs up
