Looking for some seeds of this tropical bean relative. Like a fool, I forgot to save some seeds from the last time I grew it, at our former house. They are delicious, pretty and very successful in Florida which, trust me, says a lot!

Hi Elaine, have you planted your winged bean seeds yet? It's the growing season for them now in my location.

Hey Kadie, I think I have to wait until the weather is warming a bit to plant them. I should have put them in as soon as I got them, but I didn't. Now, we have what passes for "winter" here in Florida but it does get cool enough for beans to not thrive. So, late February I'll be planting them.

Yes, I have them growing in our school garden at the moment. They just started blooming, and then we had a nasty cold snap, so it remains to be seen if we get any harvest or if the plants will just give up. The blooms are really pretty.

I got seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.

This sounds like an interesting plant.
The data base here on the NGA does not have much about it.
So--please ? could one of you who grow it-try to round out the data base entry ?
Thank you in advance !
