I'm just now adding stuff to this spot. I am going to use white flowers with it. I can't wait to see it next year.

Love it. I want more and more Sedums because they are so reliable here. The foliage of these variegated plants really is a nice feature. I will get that one next. LOL. I can't resist these things!

And you grow them so well Clint. Would love to see some of your recent sedum bed photos, so I can drool over them.

I know this is from last year but it looks great Clint. It roots easy as all of them do. I clip them in April so it does not grow too tall and I stick the clippings in the ground and they are rooted by May.

I have it in all my gardens. It compliments the bulbs and daylily in this pic.

That is beautiful Cinta.
I'll have to give it a try, cutting them back and rooting the pieces. What a great way to increase the colony.

Thank you Lynn. I am glad I have rooted so many because I do not see it for sale anymore. Plus it has a tendency to revert to all green in my garden. It maybe why it is not offered. I remember when I purchased it that was all the complaints back then about this sedum reverting to green.

Mine has never reverted, I didn't realize it was a problem with this one. Maybe you shouldn't have told me, now it might revert after all these years. Whistling

That is strange Lynn. You are lucky. Rolling on the floor laughing I was walking around the garden one day and wondered where the all green sedum was and remembered it was once a Frosty Morn.

I went back and looked for when I saw the complaints it was back in 2003 I was on Dave's Garden and Gardenweb. That is how long I have had the plant. Everybody was posting how it was throwing green leaves and eventually reverted. I wonder since your plant has not reverted if they improved the plant genes. When did you buy it Lynn?

Thank you Greg. Has your cactus ever bloomed?

At least since 2011.
I'll try to remember to take a new photo tomorrow, if it doesn't pour rain all day.

a rat took a bite out of one of the pads, there are a couple that have it - I know I shouldn't but that image is so totally cute! I'm hoping it wasn't hurt but that it just didn't like the taste! Perfect bite mark though!

Greg, They look good. You should get blooms this year because they look like they have enough last year pads that grew. They grow a pad one yr and bloom on those pads the next year.

I planted a bunch of them in my back garden that is rocks and sand from the swimming pool and the deer ate them over the winter. I did not think anything would eat them. Least I think it was the deer it could have been the groundhogs. But I saw the deer in that area so I think it was deer.

Lynn, did you get a pic yet?

Oh Cinta, I took the photo and then forgot to post it. *Blush*
Photo taken last month. I think I need to move it. It comes out so late in the season because it only gets half a day of sun, which isn't much this time of year.

Wow what a cool looking plant Lynn!!
Cinta that is really exciting if I get blooms on my cactus! I was just excited they lived!! My plan at some point during this year is to dig them all up and create a semi-raised bed or a berm type thing using a very large old clay pot or cement block or something, and plant in there so they have a bit more drainage than just the ground! We did have one of the wettest winters on record and they made it through, so maybe I just leave them Still debating as you can see...But thank you again for them! By the way I did have a rat or some small animal take several bites and I hope they missed the stickers - ouch! Hilarious!
