Does anyone know how to grow crinum from seed? I've had seed sprout just laying on my desk and outside in the garage. I covered a couple with some potting mix.

You found the answer, but I'll answer nonetheless. I harvested some Hymenocallis seeds few weeks back and had the same problem. I put a few in a closed jar with dried rice to draw the water from them and keep 'm stored for spring sowing; they sprouted a root nonetheless. Others just laying in a glass jar in a dark cupboard also sprouted.

In total I have about 35 seeds sown and more on the way Sticking tongue out

Doing well, I put most in new soil; they're still there showing green.

So the first leaves are coming up? Mine haven't shown any above ground growth yet, but their roots are poking through the drainage holes already --
