Can anyone identify this salvia for me? I believe it to be salvia coccinea, but I'd appreciate any
suggestions.

Whatever it is, it was a delight to see it peeking out from underneath my hibiscus this morning!

I am no expert but pretty sure this is a variety of Salvia Coccinea- there are several red varieties but this looks exactly like mine which is "Summer Jewel Red". Pics are of my seedlings to compare. They are beautiful and hummingbirds love them. They re-seed readily. Note the smaller seedlings next to the main one in my pic. I am sure someone with more experience will give some input, maybe @FBTS .

Does look like a coccinea, but I've learned not to be too convincing in IDs of low res pictures. Whatever the identity, it is plenty pretty.

Thanks for your help. I probably need to move it out from under my hibiscus, but will leave it alone
and move it next summer when it appears.
