Thread OP

Celebrating Gardening: 2015
I have for some reason trumpets that were planted this springtime in pots and now transferred to the garden but also ones that were planted in the spring time in the gardens already...........putting off new shoots at the bottom of the lily plant......
thought they ONLY did this in the spring time when the new bulb came up

anyone else seen this..........none of the other types of lilies here did this at all...............but quite a few of the trumpets did and especially Regale.........

I saw this at a friends house last year on her Tiny Ghost. She bought it potted and blooming and planted in the ground within a week of bringing it home. A second shoot sprouted in September and had buds on it, but it froze before it had a chance to bloom.
Knowing how and being able are two entirely different things.

Pat you should really put up some pictures with things sometimes. It is easier to identify what is going on in most cases.
