It's great that you rescued those roses.
Hope they are already in the ground. Do you have some manure to cover and protect them from frost? You can throw a bag of manure on the roses. Manure is the best, but you can use compost, garden soil or leaves (e.g., oak leaves.) I usually cover mine after a couple of first frosts, when the temperature goes below -3C.
