I've grown some Calla Lily from seed .. they are 2 years old now .. does anyone know how long it takes them to start blooming when grown from seed?

Anne,

I did not keep a record, but I think it was on the second year as well for my white as for Green Goddess Zantedeschias.

For my small colourful Callas it took 3 years.

Ann, were they Z. aethiopica (like large white and Green Goddess) types or Z. rehmannii (available in many colors often with spotted leaves) types? I've had Z. rehmannii seed itself in the garden and bloom the 3rd year. They probably would bloom the 2nd with a longer growing season. I was surprised they survived the winter here, especially being so young.

I don't remember which species they were .. got the seeds from a friend in British Columbia.
