I just started a thread in the new Herb forum (come join us, anyone interested) and pulled two photos from the ATP database into the thread. I was surprised that the first photo did no appear as a thumbnail for the thread. Am I correct in deducing that I should pull a photo from my own computer for that to happen? Or have I missed something?

Some forums don't have thread thumbnails that appear on the main forum page. This must be one of them.

Zuzu is right that I didn't have the forum setup to show thumbnails, but I have now changed that and thumbnails are showing now.

A current limitation on the system, though, is that the thumbnail will only show if it's directly uploaded into the thread. If a db image is used, that's not seen as an image by the system for reasons that are too complicated to explain right now. I'll see about fixing that one of these days.

For a sneaky, work-around just edit this code into your original post. Be sure to delete that one empty space between the [ and the "lightbox" at the very beginning.

It should display your photo as the thread thumbnail.

(It takes a convoluted process to get that code, though.)
