Got them for free, they are wrinkled throughout the body and dry. I'm not sure if they were under or over watered. I planted in cacti soil, soaked for an hour, then replanted in dry soil. They are under grow lights and kept warm. Any hope for them?

If they are 'just' very dried out, you did the right thing and, if there is any life left, they might survive (it is incredible how much draught they can survive). However, if prior to the dry period they were already rotten you can totally forget it: dead is dead. And alas, I cannot tell from a pic what is right.

Agree with Ruud..it really looks dicey..but you can certainly try. But I would really make that media much grittier than that, virtually like planted on rocks and stones, if it were mine. Though I have no good track record with lithops sadly, have attempted them twice and always it is after the overwintering stage that I fail big time.

It is tough to tell, to dry they wrinkle, overwatering causes rot and wrinkles. They have long roots that were very dry if that helps.

Just observe it as it goes and make that container smaller. Typically at this time of the year, these succulents are in bud or doing a blooming show.

At this moment wait and see. If they are alive heed the warnings above: smaller pot and more stone.

In the past I had many dead (rotting) Lithops at hand as well. Now I do not water for some 7 (winter)months per year. They seem to like it, they even flower! In the watering months watering means a few drops a week, not more!

No they died, not sure if it was too little or too much water, probably too much.

Aww..sorry to hear that Keith..I almost bought another one yesterday, just have to really hold back and stay away from it Smiling I know this is not the proper timing for me to get one. Will wait again when temps are more stable and warm.

They weren't looking good when I got them, apparently they are hard to save when they reach a certain point.
