Just a random thought. I can easily think of folks I would like to do this for - newcomers, ones who regularly provide interesting information, folks who are just near-and-dear to your heart. I do realize we can gift acorns, but then the person has to decide to buy a ticket. I understand that some times these requests are quite easy, other times more time consuming to create than worth it.

That's a nice idea. Smiling

I think it is a very nice idea. I only have one thing to mention. Sometimes I do not buy raffle tickets because none of the prizes suit me at that particular time (ok, rarely but this has happened!). So that is just something to think about if gifting tickets does become an option.

I've donated Acorn 's to other members during the raffles so that they can purchase another ticket if they want but I like the idea of having a little *raffle ticket* icon that we could click on to send raffle tickets to folks and they could use them at their own discretion in current or future raffles.

Ooooh, I like the idea of saving the donated ticket for future raffles!

Great idea Lin; I wonder if @dave would be open to that!

With as busy as he must stay I doubt it would be at the top of the priority list ... and how would one come up with a tiny little emoticon of a raffle ticket? Rolling on the floor laughing

I'd rather not. You can give someone 5 acorns and then they can decide to buy a ticket. Same thing but a cleaner approach to it.

And I have done as Dave mentioned, while watching threads about a current raffle, a member has posted so I know my donation is really something that they would want to apply toward a raffle. And if they only use part of the donated acorns to buy tickets, that's their choice.
