Particularly this time of year. nodding

So I was gonna dig up the cannas. We have had no freezing temps, but I got two out of the ground that were ready. Looked over to the Elephant Ears which are still growing so well, I got to leave them in the ground longer - strengthen those bulbs! Noticed that I really needed to cut off some banana leaves that got trashed with gusts up to 50 MPH on Wednesday.

Walking over to get a cutting tool, I noticed the Dahlias looking pretty worn out. So I started digging some up and rinsing with the hose. Got about 3 or 4 done when I noticed, while filling the bird bath, that the Luffa sponge vine was kaboot, so I cut it down.

While cleaning it up, I noticed the Cathedral Bells vine was still going strong. Unfortunately, I got a late start with the seeds, so they did not get big enough to bloom.

Hmm - I bet these are really Perennials in other zones (considered an Annual here). Off to the computer to research. A Hah! Perennial and not only that, they do well in pots and are easily grown indoors.

So off to find a pot and some soil. Potted up and will bring in to my basement growing area.
Which reminded me - I needed to move my Bauhina bonsai plants to the grow area. Which I did.

Noticed in my basement that I really needed to do some watering!! Did so and remembered that I had not watered the Cathedral Bells with Upstart. Which I did.

Then I remembered that hours ago I set off to dig up cannas.

Just another typical gardening day at my place. And that is just a summary of some of the highlights. Rolling on the floor laughing

It was 47 degrees today. I went outside

I worked really hard looking and thinking about looking. Rolling on the floor laughing

====Looked at the 4 Rhodendrons I found on sale, thought about where I should plant them.
=Looked at the 2 clematis I found on Sale. They are even flowering.
===Looked at the 5 rose bushes I found on Sale. They are still flowering.
===Then I came inside and looked at my cup of tea and decided to drink my tea and look at some other stuff tomorrow.

I say.....Dear Lord I wish looking got things done. I have so much property that was suppose to make it so easy. I could buy as much as I wanted and never run out of space. I discovered to much space leaves me to many choices and I cannot decide.

Thinking about looking at making a plan. Rolling on the floor laughing

They are predicting we will have 60s all next week. I have looked into my head and said next week you are going to get this stuff in the ground next week.

I agree I often set out to do something and remember I have not "looked" at my garden for quite some time. An hour later, I say Huh. I should do that more often. Rolling on the floor laughing

Cinta - I would say you better get to plantin! I have missed out on the final blowouts. With the exception of 4 3 gallon Potentillas I picked up for 4 $. Finally got them planted on Friday. Of course when I don't have something to plant I start getting mildly depressed. nodding

Which interesting for me is that I only really feel like I have accomplished something when I am planting something. Not when I am walking around looking.

Yes I have it bad at getting this stuff in the ground. I have a bad animal problem so I have been over thinking where I am going to plant.

The deer are not suppose to eat Rhododendrons but they demolished my Rhoddies last winter. Now I am stuck where to plant the 4 I purchased. I have a 8' fence and they jumped that fence. Hunger will make animals do extraordinary things for food.

Debbie I take it you did good and found some good stuff. There is going to be a lot of trading come this Spring.

I will sit down when working in the garden to take a rest and enjoy the garden. Seems like I always see something that needs doing so I end up not really taking a long break.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!
