She fell over - should I cut off the end before rooting? It's been sitting out for the last week or so - all leaves have fallen off.

No need to cut; I would maybe rinse it with some H2O2 to make sure there are no pathogens.

I agree with @Hetty, Betsy. Better to be safe than sorry. You probably won't have much luck rooting the plant though. At least, I have no luck doing so when dormancy comes 'round. I just store mine in buckets of coarse perlite over the fall/winter months with plans to root them in the spring.
