Here's my kerrii plant. It's producing two new vines.

I agree. It kept dropping new leaves like crazy, now it's producing new vines and leaves that haven't fallen off. My australis is trying to climb on a nearby tree lol.

My Hoya kerrii variegata is still dilly dallying..almost there, ready to bloom..but not just yet, our temps have gone cooler, hopefully the warm up these coming three days will push those blooms out.

That's such a pretty plant. I can't wait until the buds open.

I was trying to compare the old photos when it last bloomed, last year it started to bloom in the first week of July ..so it is running just a tad late. So what was different..I think it is the temperature, there were a lot of triple digit days last year and I remember July was really hot then. Right now we are in the mid 80's to low 90's. I guess it wants to feel hotter

"Kim the blooms are just a little darker than they are showing in the photo. It was in the shadows and without the flash the plant was just disappearing. Foliage is a little darker than shown also."

I wish it was in the 80s here. It's going to be near 100 today. I'm keeping my hoyas watered so they don't mind the heat and humidity.

Blooms are here finally from Hoya kerrii variegata ,just about 4 peduncles pending to join in the show

Hmm, I have not encountered that messiness yet with Hoya kerrii variegata, however, Hoya shooting star, that I find messier with that sticky sap droplets

That's so neat. I wish some of mine would bloom. I know my carnosa and fungii bloomed in early Fall.

I have yet to acquire some fancy new hoyas (need to!), but meanwhile, regular old carnosa is making a sticky mess

I absolutely love the evening perfume, though, so I don't mind the mess at all

Love your carnosa blooms dirtdorphins! I have never had my KQ bloom yet, still hoping some day it will, for now it is giving me the crimson edges on new leaves.

Something I realized this year, I think I am guilty of keeping my hoyas too dry, now that I have stepped up watering and spraying those vines, it is responding much better. I was too afraid that being succulent-like I might overwater, but looking at our existing conditions it will not happen at this time in summer here when we have no rain and have such poor humidity. Got to adjust and keep on learning about these plants

Beautiful blooms Lin. I'm so jealous of everyone's blooms. I'm still learning about the proper way to water my hoyas. It's nearly been 100 for over a week and I changed the potting medium to a mostly orchid bark mix. I thought I'd have to water every day but surprisingly the mix stays moist for a few days. Mine are in dappled shade and the humidity is high in the morning, around 66% by afternoon it's 36%.
