Just a note, Normally when I sell these lots you would be receiving the same variety.
What I am going to do for my friends here on ATP is allow you to buy 2 of this and 2 of that if you'd like, etc.. They are still sold in lots of 10 but I'll allow you to order different varieties if you'd like.
I'll even bag them by variety so you'll know which ones are which... Hurray!

I checked the sizes just now... "B" comes in flattened and regular shapes. Looks to me like Bill might not be able to get many more than 10 into either one, *maybe* 30 split between two boxes.

I would think that it would only take 1 box for 10, though. When I order, I'll tell him to let me know if he thinks I'll have extra space! (I don't want a second box with just 1 bulb in it... and somehow I'm quite sure I could find some additional bulbs, even regular size ones, to fill it up!)

B1is 12" x 10 1/4" x 5"
B2 is 14 3/8" x 15 7/8" x 2 7/8" (inside dimensions)

To calculate your regional shipping cost, use the zone tool here and put "338" for the first 3 numbers of the origin zip code. https://postcalc.usps.com/Zone...

The new Jan 2016 regional rate chart is here: http://shippingeasy.com/usps-p... (why it's not easy to find on the USPS site is beyond me)

Looks like the actual shipping cost from Bill to me for a B1 box is $10.66, and if he adds a handling charge that's fine with me (especially with letting us order 1 of this and 3 of that... and have you noticed that his bulbs are always packaged nicely in paper bags with neatly folded tops?)

From Bill in FL to me in MD is 5 zones, so the actual shipping cost for a B1 box should be

Jill,

I use the B1 box and I can get 10 Colossal bulbs in one of those boxes. I have to place them strategically(for lack of a better word) to make them fit too!!
Besides the Colossal bulbs I have a BUNCH of Super Colossal bulbs too!! Some are absolutely incredible!! Almost like freaks of nature.
They are some of the BIGGEST caladium bulbs I've even seen and I've seen a few caladium bulbs in my days!!

@caladiums4less You are giving me a serious case of caladium lust!! Are the super colossal bulbs priced on your website or are they sold by special order?

My caladium bulbs seem to diminish by half or more by the end of the season, so I usually don't bother trying to dig and store them. Do I need to fertilize more? I mostly just apply Osmocote at planting time. I'd love it if I could get the colossal bulbs to persist until the end of the season so I could have them again next year...

Lin, thanks, we're all fabulous! I'd mention that we just got back from a trip to Disney World, but I know Bill would smack me upside the haid for not getting down to visit him, and I don't want that, so I'd best be quiet. Joyanna is in first grade, doing beautifully. I'm 5 years out from treatment with no sign of cancer. And Jim has about 10 years until retirement. See? All good!!

Jill, I am so happy that you and your family are well. Hurray! 10 years cancer free! That is wonderful! Lovey dubby
Regarding not stopping by Caladiums4Less' I'm sure Bill understands. When families come to Disney World, it's difficult to find much time (or energy) for anything else except the theme parks. Green Grin! Wow, it's so hard to believe that your little Joyanna is in first grade already, time sure flies! I hope Jim is looking forward to retirement in ten years. I thought my husband would never retire but he's been teaching for 40 years and has decided to partially retire at the end of April when we will be moving to our house in Sebastian, Florida. He will commute to the college to teach two days a week and will probably fully retire and hang up his professors hat at the end of 2017. We bought a house down the street from my oldest sister and her husband and we really look forward to the move farther south!

lolol... C'mon Jill, I could never smack you!! I'm a couple hours south of Wally World so it's not like it's right around the corner.

As far as the Super Colossal bulbs go, as soon as I know exactly what I'm getting I'll be doing something with them. The thing with these is they are so big I could get KILLED on shipping if I'm not careful.
I was at my main growers barns this morning and we talked for about an hour or so walking around. He's been doing this for almost 50 years and he's dug the BIGGEST bulbs he ever has!!
For him as a grower and a strictly wholesale seller to greenhouses, nursery's, etc. They don't buy the bigger bulbs!! All they want are #1's, #2's and even #3's
He has a TON of Jumbo's and a bunch of Colossal's. We would rather use the smaller bulbs for making seed but he'll be using a lot of the bigger ones this year.
We started talking turkey and he knows I'm a businessman. I know all about the supply and demand formula... I don't want to beat him up on pricing but he realizes that if he discounts them to me a little I can in turn do the same!! As soon as I can get a GOOD handle on what the availability is I'll be offering some nice discounts to move some of the ones he has a LOT of.
Just to give you an idea I had several hundred Colossal Stardust a couple of years ago when I my retail store(what a mistake that was) and I sold them for $5.00 each and they sold out in about 4 DAYS.
These will be defintely cheaper than that!!
You need to call me when you're ready to order!!

I brought in about 20,000 bulbs today and I'm bringing in another 40,000 on Monday so I'm starting to ramp things up down here.
I want it to keep snowing like crazy up North so all you Northerners stay in the house, get cabin fever, go on the internet and spend money....lolol... Big Grin

It's Feb 4th and I have my fricking A/C on in my office, 86 here today, that's just not right....lol... Thumbs down
