I'm looking for the following books:

Making Concrete Garden Ornaments - Sherri Warner Hunter

Natural First Aid - Brigitte Mars, Herbalist AHG

National Health Magazine "Complete Guide to Safe Herbs" - Chris Meletis

books on alternative medicine, Native American or Amish type home remedies, essential oils.

I'm looking for:
Queen's Tears - Bilbergia nutans

Thyme "Lemon Carpet" "Silver Edge" or creeping

creeping rosemary

sage "Tri-color"

Alpine strawberry

thornless blackberry

asparagus

hosta

iris

canna

daylily

blueberry

strawberry

Any mint except peppermint or spearmint

tumeric

Any herbs

If you have the books mentioned they can be in just about any shape, as long as there's no missing pages & its still readable.

Here's what I have to trade. I thumbed through each & as far as I could tell, there are no missing pages. The 2 Harry Potter books were some I had to buy from the school because we couldn't find them until AFTER I paid for them. Everything else was bought new or from a thrift sore or library discard sale.

@Kjnorris918, I have a list on here but I'm not real picky. Keep in mind I'll pay around $2-$5 on postage so I'd like to get a trade of approximate value or so.

Hurray! The Randy Pausch book The Last Lecture is on my 'want' list; I have Bilbergia nutans to send. I could probably send some Turmeric rhizomes also. I'm in the middle of moving so please allow me some time to locate where I put the plants.

@Greene, both would be too much & wouldn't be fair (its a small book). I'll save it for you until you get settled, or can mail it to you now & you can mail your end whenever.

@kathy547, the only thing I have on your list is Orange milkweed but I don't have a large amount of it. Is there possibly anything else your looking for that isn't on your list?

What do you have extra of? My interests are all over the place - houseplants, herbs, vegetables, grasses, flowers. The only thing I have no use for is cactus.

@kathy547, I have about half of my seed collection on my list. Let me know if there is anything on there and I'll start figuring out what's not on my list yet to list out for you.

@Kjnorris918, Question: Can you trade seed or cuttings of the black sapote? Have you ever harvested the fruit? Persimmon grows wild here, if you know what to look for, which I don't. Years ago my husband planted a Japanese persimmon & couldn't wait to try the fruit. I even found a couple recipes to try because I'd never eaten persimmon. He didn't count on the neighbor across the road feeding corn to the deer. The deer would then visit her pond for a drink, & come to his little tree for dessert. Straight line from one to another.

I am interested in any of this from your list - anise hyssop, bee balm, bronze fennel, pink muhly grass, toothache plant, or any milkweed. Your choice of whatever.

@kathy547, I have seed for the persimmon. I received these in a trade and do not have a place to grow them so I would gladly pass them on to you. I have 4 I believe. I have lots on anise, an unnamed bee balm and marshals delight, I have common and Orange milkweed, lots of toothache and fennel and a decent amount of muhly. How many would you like of each?

@Kjnorris918 & @Greene, send me your addresses & I'll mail these books now. You can send your end later. Jaime, I will definately take the persimmon & whatever you think is fair. I want to be fair & not greedy so I'm good with whatever. You don't have to send everything, that was just suggestions. These are seeds right & not plants?

@Greene & @Kjnorris918, tmails have been sent with tracking numbers. I've never mailed books before so I taped the mailer really good. I took them to the post office to make sure I sent them with correct postage. The clerk does her spiel, telling me the different prices. When I mention its books she says go media. But because I've included a note, & media mail can be opened, the person receiving it would be charged the extra postage. I thought that was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard. So, you each have a really taped up padded envelope inside a mailer. I'm sorry for any trouble you have opening it!!!!

@Kousa, you may want to put your offer on the Plant & Seed Exchange forum. Was there a book you were interested in? I need to slow down a bit on my trading. I just participated in a seed swap here & I'm in 2 from Facebook groups. Let me get through those & see what I end up with. I don't want to have too much going on!!!!

Sorry!!!! I got it ready to mail & since it was a book, was going to mail via media mail. The clerk said postal employees could open media mail & if they did & there was ANYTHING other than a book, they would make the receiver pay on the postage. Since I had a note in there she suggested putting it in the mailer & sending that way. I don't think she thought my joke/not a joke about needing a knife to open it was funny.

For years I have suffered from depression & in fact, it & mental illness runs heavy in my family. Instead of medication, I get books I think will help. This was one of those that uplifted me. I tried getting others to read it but it wasn't the same for them.
