About the gardener in me: I live in a small apartment surrounded by narrow strips of flower beds. I've filled one bed with scattered clumps of daffodils and various hellibores, another with spring bulbs followed by that summer's annuals, one with annuals, a corner of potluck plants . . . and a patio chock full of containers of tomatoes!

This will be my second year starting seed indoors; I'm eagerly awaitimg the end of February so I can begin!

One last thing: I am NOT a typist, so typo's are ME! Hilarious!

Welcome! to ATP, Bet! Welcome!

Your found the right place: it's the gardener's spirit that counts! Before moving to the countryside I gardened on two large balconies in the big city and had a lot of fun doing it!

Welcome! Welcome BetNC,
I think you are the second person living in Hendersonville that joined ATP recently. You two could get together and start a local plant swap. Thumbs up
Don't worry about typos. I have dyslexia and when things are typed wrong they sometimes look correct to my eyes. Hilarious!

Welcome from me too Bet! I love your part of North Carolina! About 10 years ago during the fall, my husband and I traveled to that area for a basketball tournament at Brevard College. We stayed in Hendersonville for a few days and drove all over the area enjoying the beautiful fall foliage! Seeing where you are from brought back memories of our trip in November 2005 and one of my favorite picturesque scenes ... this is a photo I took of Bearwallow Baptist Church there in Gerton, N.C. I just had to have my husband stop so we could walk around and I could get a couple of photos ... I've heard that this church is one of the most popular buildings photographed by tourists visiting the area and that lovely scenery sure explains why.

Hey Bets....

Nah, not so much wanderlust as boredom. Rolling my eyes. Kind of hard to run a forum when no one is talking. My Agave/Cacti forum went down the tubes because my best friend/cofounder's subscription was up Crying ....BUT now he's here Hurray!

On my forum that leaves me and one other person! He and I still keep at it but it has lost its heart Crying

On "Our" forum nobody is there! I mean no body. I made the last post 4 days ago. C. isn't there, J. & K. haven't been there for quite awhile...you know why so there's no point in beating that dead horse.

It's fun here!!! Hurray! People talk!!! Big Grin Lovey dubby
So Wise Cactus said follow the sun and my friends. Group hug

Don't want to hog this forum talking about 'us' and 'granny' so tree mail me.
We'll catch up girlfriend.
As always, Peace. Out.

Hello from hIllsborough Bet.
We had some flurries a few days back...water is frozen in the feeder. So winter officially here in the Piedmont. We visit Hendersonville once every few years. Beautiful!

What do you mean..Waiting for end February? You weren't referring to tomatoes?
Do you men for winter sowing seeds? Welcome!
Don't squat with yer spurs on!

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved
