I live in a small apartment and garden in narrow surrounding strips.

here's a front view of my apartment from May 2016, showing newly planted marigolds (sown indoors 6 weeks earlier) starting from the sidewalk and ending with my Light 'o Day Hydrangea at the corner of the building

this is a closer view of the same marigold mixture, May

a new plant, (a donated blue delphinea) this is right before the hydrangea July

My one lone Boiled Egg Plant, out of 100 seeds direct sown, end of July

Behind the blue delphineum, another donated plant (Coreopsis 'Sunray'), end of July

and finally, the corner of my apartment / building:
Right-side Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bailday'
fore-front, 3 donated new crosses Rainbow x Loveliness
Left-side, singlet marigolds (Naughty Marietta?)

Welcome! to ATP, Bet! It looks like you have a nice sunny spot for those marigolds.

I love your coreopsis! I have never heard of a Boiled Egg Plant. What an unusual name.

Welcome to ATP,..ah yes those Marigolds are very eye catching and in a nice bed as well,..looks great Thumbs up

Sorry about the one Boiled Egg Plant,..perhaps you can get some seeds from it,.. seeing it was the survivor it could be the start of a good strain.

Love your Marigolds BetNC … Looks like a lot of deadheading though Smiling
I’ve started Marigolds (Bonanza Bee) from seed, under lights, this year. Hope when they’re out in the garden they look as beautiful as yours!
