I love this little airplant - especially the color - but I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

I don't know a thing about air plants but I wonder if it could be Air Plant (Tillandsia brachycaulos 'Miniata')

Thanks, Lin, it could very well be Tillandsia brachycaulos 'Miniata'. Some of the velutina pictures looked similar as well. I think I'll try to mount it on one of the oak trees this spring and see how it grows outside.

I have a few airplants at home and this is the one I've been wondering about. I am not sure of its health, I have been looking up the different types of airplants. Any ideas on which variety it belongs to? I think knowing this could help me in bringing it back to better days. Thank you!

I grow my tillandsia outside year round so do not have experience with indoor care. Here is a site that gives good instructions for indoor care. https://www.airplantcity.com

Ibis, it looks like this one of mine, which was very red when I obtained it, but soon turned completely green I missed the flower, it was dried up, but was told it was purple. It now has an offset as you can see in the photo, it is mounted on a piece of driftwood, gets shade hot part of day, filtered sun morning and evening. With all the rain we've had, I haven't done much else with it, seems very happy outside.

Not sure exactly what kind, but it does look to be drying out, they needs lots of humidity, if indoors a bathroom is a good place to keep it, mist it and give it s good soak in some water, think maybe weekly or at least every couple of weeks. Personally I've never tried them indoors, I've just read that somewhere.
