As most of you know, I moved house last March which meant I had to dig up and move my Woodlands Corner. I had been on 'tenterhooks' so to speak ever since I moved and today was relieved and thrilled to see some transplanted old friends popping up letting me know they were happy campers and naturalized. Two are missing, Indian Pink, Spigelia marilandica and Spotted Trillium, Trillium maculatum ... but it is a bit early so I'm not in a panic yet. The Mouse plant in particular had me biting my nails since last March.

Peacock Ginger - Kaempferia pulchra and Tongue Fern - Pyrrosia lingua

If I remember correctly, my Indian pinks came up a tad later than other perennials but not as late as Platycodon.

In my old garden they usually started coming up around the middle to the end of March and the Peacock Ginger in late April - if they naturalized, I'm thinking they might show up earlier because the area they are in gets a lot more sun.

I'm thrilled, pleased as punch and delighted to report that one of my Spotted Trillium, Trillium maculatum popped up!!!! About a month earlier than usual! No sign of the Indian Pink yet ... still early though.

Anne I have Mouse plant in 2 different areas of my shade bed. I thought they were goners last yr, I even took the tags up. So now that they have made an appearance, when should I expect the "tails?"
Hurray! on your transplants coming up!

Kabby they flower inconsistently. Some years I get them, some I don't. Mine haven't flowered yet.

Thanks Mike .. it looks like the Peacock Ginger is wanting more shade so I'll probably move it closer to the fence line this Fall. My 2nd Trillium popped up too so I didn't lose anything!
