Growing a winter's supply of spuds can mean a 'back ache'. However an old fashioned potato fork used properly can relieve the strain. Mine is an heirloom passed on to me by my father in law many years ago. It has a durable hardwood handle and forged steel tines. Just keep it back from the hills and potatoes are relatively puncture proof. (Not to be confused with a pitch fork!)
