I'm more accustomed to using html tags than bbcode and have to keep going back to the link below to see what tags we can use here. It might be helpful to have a link to that info right next to any textbox where we can use the code like in forum posts, blogs, etc. It should definitely be just a pop-up or a new tab though so there is less chance of accidentally losing anything we have already typed in.

Also what is the Google video tag for? I see the separate one for You-tube which is also owned by Google I think. I have some videos in Google Photos and Picasa Web Albums, but for the life of me cannot find a video id number that works with that tag.

In the blue area to the left of your screen you can list handy links such as BBcodes. Go to your profile, then select Site preferences, then go to the bottom to find Manage Custom Menu bar, copy/paste the link for the BBcodes and don't forget to save your changes. And Thank you Morgan for asking this question!
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
