I know it's long shot but does any one know the species and/or cultivar of this Anthurium?

There are many unnamed varieties. Likely that is why no one can tell you. I mainly grow named varieties but yours is lovely.

Kind inform me as to why orange coloured anthuriums which were flowering with long stalks start having normal large flowers with short stalks. Anything to do with the light given or watering difference? Dr. Sarojam G., India

Hi Amalsaro and welcome to NGA!

I'm no expert with Anthuriums but I'll take a guess. Since they are originally from South America it could be that the temperature is not warm enough. In my experience they prefer temperatures between 70° F and 90° F.. I've noticed something similar with my Anthurium during the winter when they are in a greenhouse which is kept around 60° F they seem to become more compact
