Ooooh. Look at the SDB City Neon. It's a Blyth 2001. Wiki has a number of pictures; some look more realistic..

Over Drinks and Table for Two are the only ones I'd like to see other pictures of. I don't trust the pictures they post for accuracy.

I think But Darling is beautiful but not crazy in love with the others. Their prices seem to be higher than others but they did send great rhizomes (at least they did in 2011) when I ordered from them.

Their prices have gone up since Cooley's Garden went out of business. Brand new intros usually are bought by iris society people which isn't their main source of business. but I still think not a good idea.

It seems they introduce several every year that just don't look all that different to me (from others already on the market). Among this years intos only one caught my eye, 'Lightheaded'

Lucy, ever since you mentioned your work toward red/white amoenas I've been intrigued by them and have realized how scarce they are.

I really liked Lightheaded too, but I would like to see additional pictures before I would purchase it.

Lightheaded and Table for Two are my favorites, based on their pictures. I am going to give them a try. I suppose I will be the guinea pig to see how accurate they are Hilarious!

I agree. Everything I picked out is $12 and under, mostly under $10. Some of their pricing just seems greedy compared to other vendors. Those two intros I like are bonuses so no $$ shelled out there. Superstition feels like the best vendor so far (personal opinion based on price and offerings), and their customer service is amazing.

When I googled last year "Iris Salem" Schreiner's gardens has the marketing, and popped up first. I am really happy to have found this forum to see the other vendors. I plan going across the Cascades this May. Maybe I can get some candid pictures of the introductions.

I like their summer sale and by waiting your going to take chances of some Iris being sold out. The prices are higher for Sisters (and other vendors) BUT from Sisters you almost get one bonus for every Iris ordered. Thumbs up If I remember right the most bonuses your can get at Schreiners is 4. Last year I made a couple of orders from Schreiners and my last order they said I already received my bonus but when I recieved my order I did get the bonus. Thumbs up

Wow, those are generous bonuses! I don't know if I'll have room for that many since I have 22 irises on order from Sisters. I've added on 5 times already! My order last year from Schreiner's was from their summer sale so I don't think I saw the full extent of their inflated prices. I can't believe they cheated you out of a bonus!! If I wasn't intrigued by those two bonuses I wouldn't even bother placing an order this year.

No longer needed because of competition (friendly) from Cooleys. I think whoever directs marketing (now that Dave Schreiner is retired) is making a mistake.

If you can find it, try TB red amoena 'Latin Hideway' (H, Nichols). I am getting frustrated with that color on SDBs, they seem to be going backwards..

I really like this called (Rings True) it comes from Petticoat Shuffle which has been one of my favorite recent Schreiber intro's. I will try to find the rest of them but here's a few for tonight.
