Your challenge, should you decide to accept it, is to create your own unique tin garden art person, animal or object out of cans. No rules (we don't like them much here) so just have fun! You may use one tin can or 20, we really just want you to have some fun.
Once you've created yours, feel free to inspire us all and post right here. Make as many tin can people or animals as you desire.
This is NOT a contest, just something fun to do this month to celebrate fall!
This is the one I made . . . and am now remaking! Hot glue does not work!

Those are adorable!! |

Yes, but are you two going to try something?
Brenda, Tony could help! Seriously, can you imagine a huge tin man in your shade garden...maybe with an oil drum as the base? |
I might try one, who knows I just posted my wreaths that I did yesterday in the wreath thread. Takes me a while to catch up |
| So, where do I look for Tincan critters?? Google it. |
| Kinda tried googling it, but didn't come up with much so far. Will dig a little deeper when I have more time |
I'll set up some links tomorrow....taking my last midterm on line (writing essay part) and will be finished with midterms except for one class in a week.
Really, if there is something you want to make (like a dog) you can use a large can for his body...smaller ones for the 2 legs...medium for his head etc. |
good going....I know you are all going to come up with something super fun!
ALSO: Save cans for Sharon's nutcracker project for us....it will be the November challenge!!! Cans cans everywhere!!!! I've got a big box of small ones and a few medium sized ones. |

| Oh my goodness, I LOVE the tin man in your link, Charleen! Becky, we're off on vacation on Monday, but maybe when we get back I might try that one. I seem to need the exact directions like on Charleen's link. Also, when my son was little, he was the most adorable Tin Man for Halloween one year... I am suddenly inspired! |
| Me neither and I was hoping to see a dog tincan critter. |
oh my gosh...that drum set is too cute.
You can create anything out of CANS everyone!
REMEMBER: \We are a no rules forum when it comes to creating garden art! |
I just checked out Charleen's link to the tin man.......it's PERFECT for anyone wanting to make him! Thanks friend for posting that!!!
I think what makes the tin man charming is the rust and weather will do that quickly. I will water my tin garden art daily in order to speed the rustiness. |
