I guess I should save some of my dog food cans too. So many cute things to make from cans. Better check out my small waste basket before dumping it into the recycling barrel.

Good luck on your midterms Becky. I think it is wonderful when seniors go back to school. Lovey dubby

Any can will do, Peggie! I am particularly excited to try the wall garden since I currently only have a balcony to garden on~

I made this a sticky for just the month of October.

Hilarious! Barb. I guess I will look at all the cans in my pantry in a new light. My dog food cans have pull top lids and that makes them pretty sturdy. So many canned products have pull top lids now.

I had soup tonight and was extra happy that it has ridges! I need ridges.

Barb, if you play in this, I can't wait to see what you create. Not to put pressure on you.... Whistling

Linda...so cute!

Charleen, this is a challenge, not a contest...so go for it!

BY the way, the top of a liter pop bottle, cut off, makes a decent tin man hat.

I have some tuna cans that I will save once I eat it! And since I am fond of rusty, they will look even cuter in a year or two. Big Grin

I have a lot of different size cans, just aren't empty yet, but I'll be sure to save them for a project. The rain has come and I hear the weeds growing. Hilarious! I just finished clearing out a front flower bed too.

Okay gang, you aren't seeming to be as excited about the tin cans as I am. I believe in RECYCLING but this isn't recycling...it's up-cycling...using something for another purpose.

UP-Cycle with me! Big Grin

You would be giggling pretty hard right now if you saw the metamorphosis my tin can dog has gone through. I promise to post soon. I keep telling myself he is going to be so cute in a year but them I decided to help him along in the rusty process.

This is a Google link with some more fun tin can projects:
http://www.google.com/search?t...

This is cool! I can see it in the garden with all the junk we use. It's from www.Oregonlive.com and the project is by Stephen Cridland. He painted the cans and hot glued them together.

And last for tonight: what a cool totem! It's from the Disney family Crafts web site: http://family.go.com/

Try cutting them out of a soda can. Regular scissors can cut the aluminum. Then paint the rust on the ears. You can attach them the same way as the tin cans or glue them on with our favorite E6000.
Save the planet, it's the only one with chocolate.
