I made my dog's ears from the tops of small cans of mushrooms. I used them in my spaghetti. Not bad at all! I folded them over and they are perfect. Kinda dangerous so I used pliers to soften the edges.

I baby sat for my sweet grandson today and so didn't get a single thing done all day.

Grandbabies are more important than getting "stuff" done

Almost makes me wish I had a grandbaby to cuddle, only almost. I love my only grandchild, even if she is 14, a pain in the you know what, and is into all the clothes. Typical teen.

I've been researching for my English class and my tin can dog is still waiting for a tongue and eyes. I got behind.

WHAT I LEARNED:

Glue guns and tin aren't the best of friends.

I will take this apart before I spray it (with a rusty colored paint to hurry along the process) and maybe wire it together? I could punch holes in him and wire it so he's more movable? I don't really know much about this kind of craft.

The small fork that is a tail looks great.

I like the tongue that's a pop top painted red.

I wish I had 4 legs instead and will look for different metal for those.




Mostly I realize I am a paint type crafter and I need to take a class to get the hang of this.

Becky, I think your two legged dog is a "bi-pogo dog", meaning a dog that has no need for four legs and prefers to hop on two pogo sticks. Some dogs are like that, ya know....

I just realized I should have used E-6000.
I'll remake him and then faux rust him. He'll still sit outdoors and the natural rust will enhance his fake rust.

I honestly need to name my next dog Bingo. But I plan on getting a used, gently loved older dog so he or she may not like the name.
