Okay, well here's how I did it:

Take one pair of extremely expensive panty hose that you can no longer fit into, and it's doubtful you ever will.

Fill both legs with potting soil.

Tie the top part (that used to fit around your hips) in a knot. Apply artistically to a wire form.

Wire it on by winding tie wire around.

Lay the wreath flat.

Poke holes in it and thread your choice of Sedum, Sempervivum and any other succulents that might need a haircut into the wreath.

Set it on 'ignore' for a week or two.

Water.

Enjoy.

Oh I really need to get my wreath out and plant it. Came home from work with more succulents from the bargain bin today. They are all piling up on the patio just waiting.

My daughter isn't home, think I'll go get a pair of her panty hose. Whistling I don't own any. Besides, my legs don't look like Jacki's leg. I don't think I could get mine in those skinny little things. Blinking

Rolling on the floor laughing I wish! I didn't realize how funny that looked!

I have a pair of black ones too (wolf whistle!) so I thought those would work for a great sexy one planted with dark red Sedum 'Voodoo' and some kinds of Sempervivum like Pacific Sonata.

I'm off back to the greenhouse. How exciting!

I'm glad you find us so amusing Rolling my eyes.

Here's panty hose wreath #2 - the sexy black one:

I didn't even cut the panty hose on this one - I simply tucked the ends of the cuttings right into the crevices where the two legs are wound around. They should root in quickly - this is fun!

Jacki, that is a fabulous idea. I need more semps and sedum and echeverias , OH MY. Ya'll are causing a major leakage in my wallet. Off to shopping again. Any suggestions on the best semp online store. I've checked out all the links that Lynn has posted for sources. I'm just wondering if ya'll recommend one over the other.

I can use the hose to fill the double ball with soil, can't I Jacki? Just awesome.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking, with the two round hanging baskets wired together, then coil up the filled panty hose inside it? That's a heck of an idea! Hurray! Good thing I have some more wire baskets...Now I just need waaay more plants!
