Cool Idea! I actually already have wire wreath forms from years ago ...if I can find them now. But panty hose? Haven't had any of those in a good 40 years or so..lol...tights! Yes, that's good also....think I may be able to find a couple of pair of black tights here somewhere. Of course I have no succulents, so someone will have to go shopping first.....or see what my firends have that I can snip from...
I could be wrong...

Tights would work very well, in fact might be even sturdier that the nylons. Great idea Sherry.

Thanks, but not my idea. Someone mentioned it earlier on. Made me remember that I probably have some somewhere. What would I have been saving them for?..lol..

A wreath? Big Grin
Where is Fallbrook, CA? If it is one of the warmer areas in CA you have a host of tender succulents that would be fabulous used that way. The colors, sizes and textures are amazing.

I only used some panty hose that I had in a box of my clothes from way back *Blush* I seriously doubt I would even fit into them, even if they were my style. My life has taken some twists and turns lately...

I would look in the thrift store, sometimes they have ones still in the package, so you don't have to worry about someone wearing them (eww)

Double ewwww.
I never thought about looking in thrift stores for package of panty hose. I sure wouldn't want to go buy new ones. Sad

You can always go to Kmart or Walmart or other cheap places and get them on sale, but who remembers once you're there - especially if you never buy them Rolling on the floor laughing

I can't even remember how many years ago since I bought panty hose.

Jacki, has your panty hose project started to grow yet?

Debbie said:Jacki, those hose look like support hose or tights. Are they?

They're just regular panty hose. Luckily, I don't need support hose - yet!

Lynn, my wreath will take a while to fill in, so nothing to report yet. Most of the plants have rooted though, so that's a good thing. I'll let you know as soon as they look a little better.

Can't wait to see it Jacki.

Linda if given support (no pun intended Rolling on the floor laughing ) the panty hose will work for any succulents project that you need to hold the soil in. Eventually the plants will cover the panty hose. As soon as we have something ready we will post to this thread. : )

Like the time I was trying on shoes in mid summer so I only wore one sock, the look on the clerks face was priceless! Hilarious!
But now that I think bout it, socks might work well, no? You could plant them with cuttings and hang them from a frame chandelier style!

Draw us a picture of that chandelier Steven.
Something I just came across in the garage is an onion bag. : ) I am going to line the inside of it with moss, fill the center will soil and plant through the mess.
I will do a photo sequence when I start. Thumbs up
