| | It always makes me a little melancholy when I realize that the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds have left here on their annual fall migration to southern Mexico, Central America, and even as far away as South America. |

What a beautiful tribute to the hummers. I think you voiced what we all feel about hummingbirds. Thank you."If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." ~~~ Will Rogers

Thank you, Ann. They are amazing creatures, aren't they.

I loved reading your article, Tee. I learned a few new things too!
When I moved last June to a balcony apartment, I hung my hummingbird feeder right outside the sliding glass door. I have enjoyed these little birds so much all summer. Some of mine are still present but some seem to have left the feeder lately so maybe they have begun migrating too.
I call them mine but I imagine they cal me theirs! |

| They definitely think they own us. Do you have Ruby-throats or?

I think mine are Anna's hummingbirds mostly. Although I've seen a few I am not sure of with blue throats. I have not had the time to research but maybe next year I will.
This is a favorite link of mine and I hope one day to have the patience to do what this woman did.
