Oh my, those are huge. It looks so strange to see daylilies that large when mine are barely peeking through the soil.

We can say "Ditto" to what Susan said about Tink's daylilies! I did not have time to take pictures yesterday or else we would be showing you the same. The clumps were awesome. The clump of Aldersgate had at least 25 fans. Michele aims to please and she does! She sent us a refund for a clump that she sent that had smaller roots than she liked. We have no doubt that it will make it, and we will return her money to her. We strongly recommend Michele's daylilies and wish ours looked like hers!

Susan, I'm so glad you posted that picture of Michele's daylilies, because I totally forgot to take a picture of my order from her and it was an absolutely beautiful order! And she always sends extra fans and/or beautiful bonus plants! I always check for her daylilies first when I get into the Lily Auction (although I'm lying low right now because I've purchased waaaaayyyy too many already this year!). And I also love the beautiful fans I get from Fred (Spunky1), James Hall (Mljomo), John DeMory (De), Mark Sattelmeier (Abundantdaylilies), and Nicole (Ndl) -- can't go wrong with any of these wonderful vendors!

Wow, those daylily plants look fabulous!!

My box from James Hall just arrived yesterday and it was marked shipped the same time as Michele's. The plants got stuck somewhere and I think they got hot. I have had plants sit in my garage for three days and they did not look this bad. I gave good feedback because I did not think it was his fault that the post office left this box on a truck or something. I immediately put them down to soak and potted them before I went to bed.



I am glad I got off early because I answered the door myself and was able to jump right one it.

I just love our postal service sometimes, it's a lot better than some other countries from what I hear though. I sent a package to Arkansas and they put it on the wrong truck to someplace else (it even said missent on the tracking) and it took 2 extra days to get to where it was suppose to. Needless to say they were very yellow when they got there.

Did they do ok Michele? I forgot to mention that he gave me a beautiful bonus plant called BUDDY'S BLACK LADY!! I just love this daylily, has great contrast with the white edge.

Those leaves are going to die back anyway. I think they look great. The roots seem in good shape, and they are such nice big fans.

I think they should be fine. Sometimes my plants arrive like that because it usually takes an extra day or two for Priority Mail to get to me (and they're going to remove our Bakersfield Post Office Distribution Center this summer so everything will have to come out of Valencia down by L.A. after that!). I just remove the yellow leaves that look whitish all the way down and then clip back the yellow on the others, and amazingly enough as soon as those plants hit the great outdoors they start greening up! I've had plants that arrive looking really awful, and one week later you'd never know it.

My problem spot is Texas - I think there is a shipping " black hole" in that state!! Although we had snow on the ground this past Friday, I hope to begin shipping by next Saturday and have to ship a few packages to Texas and other deep south spots first. Let's hope the USPS improves its track record this time. Several packages shipped there have been sent to the wrong holding area and then sent back here, etc. Usually have good success with the USPS except for sending to Texas. Does this sound paranoid? <LOL>

My only complaint was that a couple of the sellers took awhile to get back to me thru email. One was a few weeks off with the shipping time. I can live with that, because life circumstances can throw us a curve sometimes. I believe everyone deserve a second chance unless they royally messed up the first one. With so many choices in the daylily world it behooves the seller to treat each buyer circumspectly. Because "Word Gets Around"!

Thanks everyone!! I am looking forward to my new growth, I have trimmed them up and potted them all till I have time to get them into the ground. Got a ton of weeding to do first!

I have no complaints so far, except one that bothered me. I notified a seller of a plant that was wrong. He apologized and took it down, so I added it to my wanted items. Two weeks later it popped up, he has re-listed it under the same name. knowing that it is not true. I will say more after I get my order, but there will not be anymore orders from this seller.

Is he putting the wrong name with the wrong picture? Thats a bummer.

Yes, I told him that is not the daylily he said it was, the real one is a rich pink color, and he has posted a light apricot colored flower. He admitted he did not know what it was, but has been calling it this name for a long time.
