Susan, yes they are doing fine.

One of the big mail distribution centers was closed somewhere in Atlanta (I believe) so some packages that used to go through there are taking a day or two longer to arrive. Not sure where they get routed now though.

I have purchased from some of the same sellers as you and some are different. Here on the forum you can learn more about individual sellers and you get to see pictures. Negative feedback seems to be discouraged on the LA, but here people say what they think.... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing ..Word gets around and around and around.... I've never had the impression that negative feedback on the LA is discouraged. Why do you think that?
I've given negative feedback and never had anyone on the LA tell me not to.

If I get the plant, I cant say I have ever given negative feedback. If the plant doesnt look that good, I just say 'received', and leave it at that. I LOVE getting big ole fans and plants, but in reality, some of the more regular sized ones from smaller sellers do just as well in the end. Sometimes the bigger the plant, the longer it takes to get settled in.

I got some huuuuuuuuge plants in last Spring. I got in some "regular" size fans also. After a year in my 7 gallon pots, they are basically the same size. THe main difference is, some of the huge fans divided into 2 or 3 fans last year, not all of them. None of the smaller fans divided like this or even mutiplied. I think they will this year. I live in a zone 7b so my plants don't have any extended cold weather but we always do have a few below 20 days but it warms back up during the day.

I have no problem with the size of a plant as long as it's healthy. The foliage can be basically dead but it will come back out in short time. I bought a couple of plants on Ebay one year from an unknown. I got pencil size fans, that had maybe one green leaf and basically no roots. SO, needless to say, I stick with the LIly Auction now. Great folks, really great.

I had that same sort of experience. I ordered for Bentley Gardens, thinking I would get some big nice fans. Well the fans were a bit bigger than a pencil but not much and one died. I like to buy from the daylily people here and use the recommendations you all give.
I have received fans from;
Bluegrassmom
Tink3472
Floweringchild - she's not here much anymore. What a nice person
Lalambchop

They were all big healthy fans, packed well and thriving in my garden today. Thumbs up Thumbs up

I read that on the GardenWeb, someone thought it was funny that everyone only has good reviews. Who did you leave bad feedback for? Did they give you a hard time? Someone on GW said they gave her a hard time and I believed her because I was given a hard time on eBay from a lady in Japan.
I suspect someone took down the link, I am not getting the same information when I goggle it.

The only negative feedback I have ever given is for non payers who ran up over $l00 and then did not pay or respond to emails. I usually don't leave negative feedback for plants I have received. I honestly haven't received bad plants, only one time, and the seller said if the plant didn't make it he would refund my money.

I purchased plants from a new seller called Daylily_dan. He is in Va., only farther to the NW and he did pretty good. I got Beautiful Edging that was converted. So now I have both kinds, and a free bug. Hilarious!

I have only bought seeds from the LA, all I can say is the LA seed sellers are wonderfull.
Well the ones I have bid from.
Some times they keep listing and I keep bidding and they are so wonderful and let me pay when I am done. nodding
This can go on for at least a few weeks or more...It is not my fault they keep posting pretty crosses.

99% of the time they send extra seeds and lots only once one seller sent only 1 extra seed guess that was my bonus seeds they said I would get. Rolling my eyes. But the seeds where great.

Not in any particular order but the top 4 are the ones I buy from the most.

I buy most of my seeds mainly from Rich. He grows in a greenhouse, and gets his seeds listed in June and July. If I can get my seeds planted by, or in august, they will bloom the next spring. It doesnt hurt either, that I get 100% germination from his seeds. What does hurt, is Im not the only one who wants those early seeds and they can get very pricey. I think I have more fun watching people fight for those seeds, than getting them.

Thanks for the information about eBay, I do buy plants and seeds but not as many as I use to. I tip my hat to you.

Not a problem! When I started buying dls I started with ebay. It didn't occur to me that I'd get the wrong plant. When I realized how easy it was to get taken with dls (either intentionally, or unintentionally) I sent ebay an email that it wasn't fair to cut off feedback for plants at 3 months when the plant might take a year or two to bloom. ~Wish my suggestion had had more of an impact. Sad

I bought my first seeds from ebay and daylilies as well , the daylilies I got from a great seller Cooldaylilies.

But what got me started on daylilies was when I went to trade my surprise lilies and someone offered me daylilies.
But by far LA has been great for seeds and if I could find a shipping deal like Cooldaylilies does on his auctions I would buy the plants from the LA.
