John Thank You!
Good to hear from you again!
Fiber Optics are not an option here yet.
BUT I did see their truck on the main street, about 50' from ours.
So it shouldn't be long. |

Ric, you might want to look into it when it comes available to you. They gave great intro deals, including paying the early termination fee we had with Time Warner, up to $100.
It's windy here, too, Sue. Feels like hurricane force winds out there. I went out to fling coffee grounds into the yard- I think the wind blew as many on me as on the garden dirt.
Ric, it's windy in Cleveland, too. If it's this windy it will affect the game for your team vs. mine!

ALL Games in Cleveland are windy...some just more .... lol!
Well we played well and lost... came down to the final seconds again..... but that's been the story all year.
4 Squeelers didn't finish the game.
So we gave as good as we got.
BUT we get some killer draft picks this time.
2 first round w/ one being 5 overall pick I think.
We have the 6th Ranked Defense and 30th Ranked Offense.
Can you say new quarterback? LOL!
Drove up to Dayton today.... fierce winds!
My hands hurt from gripping the steering wheel. ;-)
DEFINITELY going for Fiber Optic when it gets here.
I am on the waiting list.
Julie maybe 4 times a year does the weather affect the signal and then just for minutes at a time.
W/ digital it's far less of a problem than it used to be.
You either have a signal or not.... no halfway glitches.
I figure Tuesday I'll get bombarded by calls about all the deals I did yesterday.
Today Directv upgraded us a package for 6 months at no extra charge and I didn't even know it was coming.
Netflix sent us 2 extra movies too..... customer loyalty deal. |

We had fun watching the games. We had the Bengal game on the big TV, and were watching the Steeler-Brown game on computers. My husband was on the desktop, I was on his laptop. I have enough trouble following one game at a time- was crazy trying to watch two at once.
It's 29° out there with flurries blowing around. By comparison, it was 53° yesterday morning.

Geez, there are wrecks everywhere. Roads are closing because of wrecks. There's a thin coating of snow on roads, a tiny fraction of an inch, but apparently roads are getting slick.
Glad I don't have to work today. Did I ever mention that I hate winter?

You got way more snow that I got Ric. We just had flurries in Delhi. Apparently the northern part of Cinci got a lot, that's where most of the wrecks were this morning.
We just had heavy flurries Not enough to call snow showers. Our streets are dry. I was just at my Mom's place in Western Hills, and roads there are wet. They had snow, which has since melted.

Happy late New years everyone!! We have been busy, busy. Had a few health scares, but we seem to be OK. Jeff brought me home 4 Huge gold thread cypress and so you know how we gardeners are. I had to redesign gardens because I love these shrubs. Snowing like heck here and very cold. Had to go to bank today and get a hair cut(I looked like a wooly burger! LOL) I do not like driving in snow!
Well all the kids are coming back from Texas and our daughter is moving back in with us. The only problem is she has a little something extra in her belly... I guess we are going to be grand parents! She just turned 16 in Dec. I am a little freaked, but we will handle it just fine. Thank god for mail order catalogs.
I can't wait for the spring RU. I have missed you all. I am going to start posting more now that winter is here. The good thing since I saw you all is that I have lost right at 60-70lbs. Getting turned down for the lap band surgery really made me mad, so I got really serious about weight loss.
Well enough for now.
Love, light and laughter!
Geo

Congratulations on that weight loss George. That's amazing.
I spoke too soon about the lack of snow here. We got one of those squalls, and the world turned white within 15 minutes. There are wrecks all over the city again during evening rush hour.

Karen, I wonder if your mother lives in the area where Hank grew up?
He lived in Western Hills. Linneman, Sidney, Churchwood, Julmar - Anything ring a bell? |

GEORGE!
So good to hear from you!
KUDOS on the weight loss!!!!
After pigging out over these Holidays I need to shed a bunch too....
Nice thing about rush hour today was I wasn't in it....lol!
Though leaving for work at 6:30AM and getting off at 3:30 is we basically beat it anyway.
We did get one little hit out of the system that hit you Karen but just a brief whiteout.
The wind yesterday gave me a cool shot today.
Didn't even notice this til afternoon.
Think Santa may have celebrated a bit too much New Year's Eve...?

Oh, poor Santa does look like he passed out!
Vic, I know the area you mentioned- it's probably about 3 miles from me. I'm closer to the river, on top of the hill.
This is our coldest day so far, too- 17°, with a high of 27°. The warmer weather is to return tomorrow, 41°. My driveway is covered with snow, probably less than an inch. My street is either icy or slushy, can't tell which in the dark from inside my house. I'm not curious enough to go out and see. There are quite a few school closings and delays on the news.
