Ok, I can't believe I have held out this long but today my dear friend Deb and I went to Russells in Wayland & to Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA and we visited the greenhouses so we could see and drool over blooming Camelias, orchids and other plants... of course we could not came out of there empty handed... so I got a few plants...

I will post my pics... and you my dear plant friend post what you have been getting lately... don't be shy now... I know that if you are like me some plants are calling your name and of course you can not resist it... if only we could resist it!!!!

I got 3 new sucullents so I can do another container
a gorgeous begonia
2 air plants
Geranium Rose scented (trust my nose to find a rose scented one without looking the tag!)
and a fern for my mom...
also could not pass on 2 mini violets and seeds at Russell's

I have started some seeds... I am being very ambitious this year... I have so many seeds - some are from 2007... so I am really expecting a miracle but just yesterday on the news I saw the oldest plant - 32K year old - so I am not loosing hope... below is the link!

thanks.. they are in the house

you will be surprised how some seeds last for a long time.. a few years ago my dad gave me seed packets from 1999... found them in the basement when he was cleaning up... they all germinated

just loving one of the new plants.. this wax begonia.. and the foliage is supposed to be bronze color

did you start those begonias from seeds???

I am counting on those seeds germinating... yesterday I ordered some tomato seeds from Tomatofest... they have some pretty cool looking tomatoes... I wish I could see and taste their 600 variety tomatoes... sound really yammy...

I ordered Andes, Big Yellow, Taxi, Sprite, Paul Roberson & Grushovka... it's so funny, I placed the order at 2am and just got an email that the order has shipped! that is really fast!

Ok, these succulents were calling my name... I have this tendency of showing up at Lowes the very day when their supply of succulents arrive... I don't plan or anything... sometimes it's months before I have to go to Lowes... but this is the 4th year in a row that I show up the day the succulents arrive Rolling on the floor laughing

So of course I am a softie regarding succulents but money is short this year so I only got 4... nevertheless I got some...
