oh that is not good... can you email them the picture and request another ones???

I just placed an order with Select Seeds... found a gorgeous petunia Pretty much Picasso ... really different!

So did you get all your plants outside??? I pretty much looked at grass, grass seeds, what to do with my horrible lawn this year... I got seeds last year and never planted... also I have 2 huge bags of wildflower seeds that I want to plant in the back of the house and where I used to have some other beds and now I want also to do on the front of the house... I have to get my Mantys working again so I can clean up the area... not so sure how to do it...

So much work still!

I always wait to put them in the ground until it warms up... but you can always put them in a foil pan.. cover them with soil and start them inside.. they usually take a while to wake up.. I like to give them a head start

I stopped at an Amish home the other day. I saw a sign that said perennials for sale. Plants for sale is better than a yard sale sign. I winter sow so many of the plants I already had. But. I came home with three containers of plants. ($5.50 for all three)

A spurge, a bear's breeches, and more hens and chicks (I love these).

Later in the day, I gathered a garbage bag full of pots and took them out to her. I also gave her several of my hens and chicks. They were the red hens and chicks. I told her they would become green again for the summer months.

I will wait a few more weeks. I will plant them in pots to be easier to bring inside for the winter... I have an Elephant Ear to plant also. I am so dying to see it grow...

Went to Russel's Nursery yesterday with Deb (you may remember her from DG - Thumberlina (I think) anyway we had a blast... it's a gorgeous nursery with everything under the sun...you can't possibly not have fun there...there are very expensive plants there, but you can find everything.
So we went there to get a rose. Well I have some roses that I refuse not to have. I absolutely love Evelyn Rose - actually I wear the perfume from Crabtree & Evelyn and it's just my very favorite... so I was hunting for a new one to plant next to the one I have and bingo! Found one really nice plant grown in Canada which sounds good to me! yay... now I have to wait until I get a job so I can get a Abraham Darby to plant next to the one I have that is not doing that well. (see my Evelyn & Abe Darby are Fortuniana rootstock which are good for southern US... and mine are ok, but never really big like they can be... what a difference when I look at Palatine roses... well, one can't beat Palatine anyway!

Also got some Marigolds...love them!!!!
