I know some consider them pests but I actually like them. I feed them cracked corn so I have really fat squirrels in the winter. I don't have any pictures of the squirrels though, sorry. Only grey squirrels around here but I have seen a black coated version locally. They look neat.

My squirrels are really fat too but they have white bellies, not those rust colored bellies on some of the pictures.

Yes, I'm familiar with the white belly ones. I'm beginning to think our Florida squirrels are skinny. Hilarious!

Mine are well toned.
Big trees; they leap from one to the other and go up and down and round and round and never touch the ground.

We have a lovely big park across the street from me which goes to the beach and ocean. One day this summer I was sitting on a park bench and watching a lady that was sitting on a bench a ways down from me and she was feeding the squirrels. Probably peanuts but some type of nuts. Some of the squirells were eating their nuts right away and others would grab one and scurry away to hide it. She only threw out one nut at a time so the gang of squirrrels needed to be quick if they wanted to get in on the action.

We sometimes see little young squirrels. They're mini versions of the adult squirrels. Cute! Don't have any pics of them.

These are my squirrels. They spend a lot of time on the more accessible birdfeeder...and during the worst of the drought out where I feed wildlife also. And during peach season they will stray to the peach tree sometimes. But the coons are the biggest problems with the peaches! Now, if I had a whole orchard, it would probably be easier for we who live in the house and planted the peach tree to actually get enough peaches! This year I found out squirrels like oranges...found that out when I was putting oranges out for the orioles that came this fall.
