Carry Your Supplies Around the Garden

By mcash70
March 8, 2012

I use an ice cream pail with the handle on it to tote my camera, phone, little plastic baggies, small note book and pen, and a few peanuts for the Steller's jays whenever I am working in the garden. When I move, it moves with me. I put a white cloth over it to protect it from dust or light sprinkles.

This is an idea that I'm definitely going to utilize! I always take the phone outside when I'm in the garden and end up leaving it on the deck or laying on the ground somewhere and then forgetting about it. There have been a few times where I had to go inside to get my cell phone and dial the house number to find where I left it! I like the idea of having a small pail to carry around the yard ... for keeping the phone handy as well as my camera and sunscreen etc.

Thanks mcash for sharing this great tip! Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up

Thanks Lin! I tip my hat to you. Also having the phone and camera in the pail makes it very visible if you do still end up leaving it somewhere. Hilarious!

That should be the other part of the tip, if you don't have a pail go buy one filled with your favorite ice cream, eat before using!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Our local hardware store (Ace) sells a little red bucket about that same size and that's just what I use mine for! Although, it does lack the fringe benefit of the original tip! Hilarious!

Woofie, I'll have to run over to our Ace store and look for that red pail. What section in the store is it? How much did it cost? Thanks! Thumbs up

Oh, gee, I don't know what section they were in, DH bought it for me. The last one he brought home was white. (We also use them for watering the dogs.) I think the red ones were only a dollar or so.
