Here's another tutorial from the same blog that made the glowing orbs for the garden.

I know some of you must have been collecting some of these glass globes? You can usually get them for $1.00 at Goodwill, etc. and sometimes even less! These were designed as bird feeders but I'm wondering if they could be used as birdhouses?

Love them all. This is fun! I'll go get my current favorite and be back soon.
Vicki, it doesn't matter. as long as we link it. |

One last one for this evening....I posted this on the Container forum but it's such a great idea I wanted to make sure everyone here sees it. Again, involving concrete but doesn't look too difficult? From Martha Stewart's site, a tutorial from a few years ago. http://www.marthastewart.com/270325/how-to-make-stone-plante...

Oh my gosh those are some neat ideas. I had to laugh at the shovel pine cone. I used to break so many shovels. My DH won't let me buy any shovels that don't have a fiberglass handle. This is top secret but I have broken one of those too. lol I just paint the metal part and stick in my flowerbeds.
I don't have a picture but I have taken springs from an old chair painted them then buried part of it so it will stand up and attached a small wooden sign with a garden saying on it to the top. I don't know if this has been done before I just got the idea when I was burning an old chair and the springs were left in the burn pile. |
