I was given by 2 very kind ATP members some turtlehead seeds. They have germinated. Only 1 of the white variety so far but heck, I'm still happy to see something pop up. Hurray! The pink one has a couple coming up.

Isn't it amazing how something so simply as this can make my day Big Grin Now i need to send out an email to each of the kind folks
who sent me the seeds.

Nice pics Allison. One of the reasons I was trying to grow it is the low maintenance, hardiness for my zone and it blooms later in the season which when all the other plants are finished flowering this one should continue to brighten the garden.

From Clothier
"Chelone glabra, lyonii, and obliqua , Sow at 20ºC (68ºF), if no germination in 3-4 wks, move to -4 to +4ºC (24-39ºF) for 2-4 wks "

If you want more germination prick out the germinated ones and refrigerate the rest for a few weeks. You will probably get a lot more.

Woops I just noticed this is very old! Guess this forum doesn't move much in the summer! lol
