Hi Marica, I don't think we have a post notifications preference. Maybe you're talking about the "Ask a Question" feature, that does?

Oh JD (Rainbow) suggested we did. I have noticed that post notification on "Ask a Question" Why can't it be for all forums? Just a thought

Marica- it isn't (currently) on all of the forums because most people who visit the rest of the forums are members who contribute (or at least visit) frequently. The thought is that they will see that their thread/post has replies as soon as they go to the homepage. On the other hand, often the members who ask their question on the "ask a question" forum are brand new, and are likely to never remember to come back- so we email them to let them know that their question has been answered.

That's not to say we won't change things...only to answer the "why" behind how things are now I tip my hat to you.

Like many others I follow several forums. So when I get a notice I go right to it. That is true. most won't come back so when they do check in they can see other things.
Thanks for the answer to "Why" Big Grin

I have registered here with a password which was accepted. But when I log out and later try to log in again, I receive a message "Oops! The username and password you entered didn't seem to be valid." Meanwhile I habe a collection of password reminders...
Can you please give me a hint, what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!

The easiest thing to do is change your password to something you can remember. Do that by clicking on the person icon on the top right of the page, then click on Settings.

Thanks to you, Karen and Dave,
I have already done so, changed the password, saved the new settings and also made my browser remember the new password. But when logging in again none of the passwords will work, neither the new nor the old one. I can only log in via the message which I received when asking for the reminder. No problem actually, but it seems a little weird to me...

The only thing I can think of is that your password you're entering doesn't match what you changed it to.

It's not possible for me to lookup passwords. They are stored encrypted in our system and inaccessible to everyone.

Thank you, Dave, for your help!
I'll try other passwords and as long as that doesn't succeed, I will log in through the reminder link. It keeps me puzzled though.

You can let an admin know you want your username deleted. I tip my hat to you.
