Thanks any combo here is by accident. Find a plant I like? Plop it down where there's a blank spot. Not very imaginative here.

Lovely Hostas, Paul. I've just begun to be interested in them. They've never done real well for me -- I guess I just didn't understand what they needed to be happy. This year I planted several in pots under my cherry trees. They're doing very well, and make nice accent pieces. I may post a couple of photos too!! Green Grin!

I think hostas like many plants take awhile to get settled. I like the smaller ones & thought that I had lost 'Blue Mouse Ears'.
For small flowers I submit a picture of my MTB 'Elfin Shadows.

Paul nice pics, don't you just love that Haunted Heart? I think it's so nice. Carnival Ride is one I like a lot too, and it's a later bloomer to keep the season going.

Jo Anne, Ring Around Rosie is another nice later bloomer. Mine hasn't bloomed yet, but the buds on it doesn't look too healty. I moved it last year, so not sure it will have a nice bloom.

CeCe, those darker colors alway catch my eye. They look so good in a clump too.

Here are some pics of iris I planted in my daughter's garden in Salt Lake City over 4 years ago. Last week I finally managed to visit her when they were in bloom. It's a thrill to see the big lusty clumps, when I remember what little single fans they were a few years ago.

Edith Walford with a "wild" pink volunteer rose behind. The rose survived the house construction, being run over, parked on and buried 2ft. under a pile of gravel and subsoil. OOps, out of focus, will add a second better shot.
