My Grammatophylum is spiking now. Since I live in Florida, I have copletely different growing conditions than you so it is difficult to give advise. We never get to 100 degrees here but I would advise you to keep it in the shade and give it lots of water under those conditions. Also, avoid temps below 45 degrees. I don't find it to be particularly delicate. Mine stays outside all year long since I have a greenhouse. Even before the greenhouse, mine stayed outside except for the few nights where temps dropped below 45 degrees.
