Hi Cinda, Chelle, Woofie, Karen, et al -- I also have seeds that I'm starting now (or soon) for fall crops and so on (cabbage and brussel sprouts, plus I'm always starting lettuce seed...), and I just start it in the house under the lights, same as in the winter; the temps are a lot more consistent and I've always had better luck this way (but of course, could just be me...). Hope everyone is having a GREAT gardening season !
