Ok guys. My eyes were crossing trying to make sense of the last few posts. So. All I really want to know is this: If I have my lovely I. purpurea "Jamie Lynn" growing in an area where I also have various other varieties of I. purpureas, how do I indicate that "Jamie Lynn" may have been cross pollinated through the acts of wind, bees or other critters, by "Kniola's Black" or "Crimson Rambler?" I'd like to be able to unambiguously refer to that sort of situation, as opposed to the case wherein I have hand pollinated each and every bloom in a controlled environment.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
