My vote is spiderwort. In the second picture there is a dried bloom of spiderwort. The roots and the way the leaves come out of the stalk all look like spiderwort. We have it in some areas and wish we did not. It's pretty when it blooms but is invasive. I am digging it up and throwing it away here.
